1950’s Pink has a short and sweet story: She was old fashioned and feminine – always dressed in pink. And she was lovely.
I knew I had to get the background juuuust the right shade of pink – I’ll admit, I thought I had it. I didn’t. It was pure bubble gum pink. It was so bad I kinda liked it – but the whole darn thing just HAD to be repainted. After what seemed like HOURSZZzzz of mixing paint, I finally landed on the perfect pink – 1950’s Pink – A pink that takes you back.
Not only do I adore the vintage pink in a current stylish setting, I am really enjoying taking old frames and reviving them with a modern and fresh vibe by incorporating it right into the painting – blurring the line between canvas and frame. What’s old is new again!
One of my signatures is incorporating jewelry with the crow. But this time she just seemed perfect in her natural beauty surrounded by spring blooms and a rosy haze – can you smell her floral perfume??
