Description
In this series, Beneath the Bell Jar, I wanted to explore the idea of preserving drifting memories and curious thoughts — each work sitting beneath glass, protected, elevated, and contained. Each is its own specimen of a private world, yet grounded by something that connects us. This body of work expands on my ongoing fascination with nature and the preciousness of small things — a thread rooted in my background as a jeweler.
While Borrowed Wings is more cosmological, Flowers in Chaos is more psychological — more personal. Sprouting blooms provide softness and growth, yet they are interrupted by spinning faces that introduce instability and tension. This piece emerged from feeling the constant noise and disorder of the world while still seeking softness in life — a coexistence of disorientation and tenderness.
